A Skylight can cost as little as $300 or as much as $5,000
Our premium skylights use better quality components than budget brands and offer trouble free performance.
A typical Solatube fully installed is normally between $1,000-$2,000, while a Velux fixed skylight fully installed with a light shaft costs around $3,000 - $4,000.
The scope of works and the other materials needed to complete your project should also be considered.
Installation must be conducted by experienced professionals.
Solatube products are normally installed for under $300 and Velux products for under $800 for a roof only install.
In Victoria, roof work is regulated by the Victorian Building Authority, and your contractor should be licensed.
All our installers are well trained, we have carpenters & roof plumbers and plasterers in our team.
Velux skylights have been tested for hail impact
Solatube products also stand up extremely well against hail due to their high profile. Traditional acrylic skylights are significantly less durable as the acrylic weakens after a few years of exposure to the sun UV Rays
Most skylights have a lifespan of ten years. Our VELUX and Solatube skylights have been known to last well over 30 years.
Indications that a replacement may be due could include significant storm damage, minor signs of water damage, cracks in the glazing, reduced light transfer.
A good time to fit a replacement skylight is when you are having a roof replaced or a significant renovation to the inside of the property around the skylight shaft.
